Dry skin isn’t usually serious. In most cases it’s caused by factors like hot or cold weather, low moisture in the air, and soaking in hot water. You can do a lot on your own to improve your skin, including using moisturizers and avoiding harsh, drying soaps. But sometimes dry skin happens often or is severe.

7. Antioxidants and omega-3s
Let’s get a bit technical; there is a chance that your skin might be dry because of exposing it to elements that are damaging your skin cells. Your skin cells cannot repair themselves at the same speed in which the damage is happening. So what do you do about it?
Increase eating foods that are rich in antioxidants. It can reduce the damage from toxic elements and help your body make new healthy cells. Also, consume foods containing omega-3 fatty acids; it will contribute to glowing skin.
Milk is also a known ingredient for itchy and dry skin. It has lactic acid, which assists in exfoliating dead skin cells. Milk is also anti-inflammatory, helping your skin retain moisture and stay hydrated. For taking a milk bath, use lukewarm water, mix 1 to 3 gallons of milk, and soak in it for 15-20 minutes. However, if you don’t wish to soak yourself in milk thoroughly, use a washcloth, dip it in milk and then keep on the affected area for 10 – 15 minutes and then wash it off.
Preserve your healthy skin as it is a defense against viruses and bacteria. Also, it is a sign of a healthy body. Itchy skin can cause infections, so add a moisturizer into your daily skin routine, even if your skin doesn’t have visible problems. While going out in the sun, use a moisturizing sunscreen to prevent dryness and skin damage. Use loose and cotton clothing; it will draw your sweat away and keep you from skin irritation. If your skin appears to be extremely dry, it could indicate a more severe condition; you should see a doctor in such a situation.
If you have any other skin related issues from which you want relief naturally, then consult a homeopathy doctor.
